At Luosto Store, you'll find groceries, everyday essentials, accessories/clothes, souvenirs, postal services, gambling options, mobile and data prepaid connections, and a pharmacy service point. Amethyst Spa
Relax at the Luosto Spa and enjoy the sauna and pools.
Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi
Just over an hour's drive away, you can experience the magic of Christmas every day of the year. Santa Claus Village is located in Santa Claus's official hometown, Rovaniemi in the Arctic Circle. The village is a family destination with plenty to see and do for all ages.
Amethyst Mine
Luosto's unique amethyst mine is a must-visit destination where visitors can learn about the area's geology, history, and the properties and uses of gemstones. Visitors can also dig their own amethyst to take home. The mine is one of the few amethyst mines in the world open to visitors.

Winter Activities in Luosto
Northern Lights
Luosto is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights. Join a guided tour and experience these magnificent light displays. Near the cabin (about 100 meters), there is the official Luosto "Best Spot to See Northern Lights," -place, so you can experience these wonders independently if the weather permits. Husky or Reindeer Rides and Farm Visits

In Reindeer and husky farm Kopara you can meet friendly reindeers and enjoy various reindeer safaris. The Reindeer Restaurant Kopara locates in the same yard as reindeer park.
At Jaakkola Reindeer Farm you meet the antlered icons of Lapland up close, get to feed them and hear about reindeer herding and Sámi culture. Going one-step further and taking a reindeer sleigh ride is even more special and something to remember rest of your life.
Skiing, Snowboarding and Off-Piste Skiing
Luosto has several well-maintained ski trails and slopes suitable for both beginners and more experienced skiers.
Luosto ski center is a popular destination from families with children to off-piste expert skiers. It features the Family Slope area designed for beginners, main slopes over a kilometer long, renowned powder skiing opportunities, and a Snow Park. The scenery is breathtaking, with views extending toward the Pyhä-Luosto National Park.
Pyhä Ski Center is one of Finland's most popular ski resorts. It offers a diverse range of slopes suitable for both children and professional skiers. In recent years, many lifts have been upgraded, allowing you to ride up in modern chairlifts. If you enjoy off-piste skiing, Pyhä is the best spot in Finland for it.
The ski bus, which also goes to Pyhä, is just 350 meters from the cabin. Many off-piste skiers return year after year to enjoy the opportunities in the Pyhä-Luosto mountain range. You can access the cross country ski trails almost directly from the cabin yard.
Sledding
Sledding is fun for everyone, regardless of age! Feel the snowflakes on your cheeks and the thrill bubbling inside you as you glide down the hill. Sledding invites adventure close to nature and creates unforgettable moments with family and friends.
You can use a sled, toboggan, or even a plastic bag to slide down the hill! Sledding equipment is available at local stores. The Luosto ski resort offers a free sledding hill.
You can also create your own sledding hill in the cabin's large yard and enjoy the fun there.
Snowshoeing
Explore the winter wilderness on snowshoes. This is an excellent way to see untouched nature and enjoy the silence. Snowshoeing trails start right next to the cabin, and equipment can be rented from the village. Read more about snowshoeing here.
Snowmobiling

Winter cycling
Aarnikota cafe & restaurant
Aarnikota is a traditional, rustic café and restaurant where you can immerse yourself in the unique wilderness atmosphere of Lapland. Nearly all dishes are prepared over an open fire, with seating arranged along the edge of the kota (a traditional Finnish hut) around the central fireplace. Summer Activities in Luosto
Hiking and Trekking
Luosto offers several hiking trails of varying difficulty levels. We particularly recommend the trails in Pyhä-Luosto national park which offer breathtaking scenery.
Cycling

Swimming
Have you ever stayed in a cabin in Lapland with a beach near to it? At this cabin, it's a reality. You can take a swim directly from the sauna in the natural beach or visit the official beach of Luosto, just 250 meters away. The beach offers stunning views of Luosto Fell. Aarnilampi is a spring-fed, clear-water pond fed by streams from Luosto Fell.
Fishing
Luosto offers excellent fishing opportunities. You can fish in lakes and streams and experience the peace of northern nature. Aarnilampi and Outalampi, located near the cabin, are particularly popular fishing spots.
Midnigt sun
Discover the enchanting beauty of Luosto under the spell of the midnight sun! From late May to mid-July, the sun never sets, bathing the landscape in a golden glow around the clock. Enjoy endless days of adventure and relaxation in the heart of Lapland.
Canoeing

FrisbeeGolf
Luosto DiscGolfPark is an 18-hole AA1-class FrisbeeGolf course. It offers varying challenges even for experienced amateurs. You can climb up and down the Luosto fell by throwing the entire round. If you don't want to tour the entire 2-3-hour tour, there is also an hour-long Luosto loop, which is also ideal for families with children.
